Signs of the End Times

Matthew 24:1-3 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

We just need to turn on the TV news, or open a newspaper to see the troubles of this world and the age we’re living in. I firmly believe we are at the end of time. We are rapidly approaching the end of the world, when Christ will return and take His flock to the safety of heaven, and destroy this world along with all of the sin, death and misery.

Revelation 22:7 Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book

Second Coming of Christ

What does the Bible say about Christ’s second coming to earth?

Jesus of Nazareth fulfilled over 300 prophecies of and throughout the Old Testament – each and every single prophecy, big and small regarding Christ / Messiah was fulfilled perfectly and precisely by Jesus. That is amazing… So if Jesus fulfilled all of His promises and prophecies the first time, then surely He will fulfil His promises and prophecies of His second coming. This is the great hope… It is what our faith is grounded by.

There are a lot of false teachings and doctrines regarding Christ’s second coming and a lot of unbiblical speculation. We have absolutely no reason to follow these false teachings and speculations, for Jesus was very clear when addressing His return to the apostles. The Bible has everything we need and so no need to speculate.

Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

The second coming of Christ is referred to around 380 times in the New Testament – that is roughly one verse in every twenty-five.

Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Continue reading

Vision of the Four Beasts

Daniel had a great prophetic vision, one so great and terrible but equally important and precise. One that is to become one of the keys to unlock the mysteries of the book of Revelation.

Again, this vision of four beasts plots out the future of the world. It reinforces the prophecies of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream of the statue, but reveals more about what is to become of the world…

Daniel 7:1-7 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters. Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it. And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh. After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it. After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.

Perilous Times…

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.

2 Timothy 3:1-4
